This was the third track to be featured on Radio Horror.
Never A Hero are the more unique of bands that we’ve experienced so far. First of all they have a great sound which brings up the question of WHY AREN’T THEY WORLD FAMOUS YET?! Surely a band of this calibre should have hit the big time by now? Let’s make it happen horror fans.
Another unique aspect of the band is how they wear morbid-looking masks whilst on stage and they also perform wearing straight-jackets. Not a bunch you want to meet in a dark alley…
But of course we just had to muse… How do they play wearing straight jackets? Have we been mis-informed? Or is their level of greatness far beyond our understanding. We need to go see these guys live to clear it up (Anything to get a few free tickets eh?)
If you want to know more about the band you can find them at www.neverahero.co.uk
This would have been the second track on the opening night of Radio Horror.
Dick Blake is obviously one of the great storytellers of the music world. Abduction, UFOs, alien sex and a little green baby is the story of Alien Love Child. What more could you want?
A website would be nice…
We’ve got that as well! www.alienlovechild.co.uk
Check it out today!
This was intended to be the opening track of Radio Horror. With its Hellraiser theme it linked nicely to our first discussion (filed under the discussion section of Radio Horror)
Nightporter are a Newcastle-based band that have toured all over the UK. They combine the best elements of Alternative Rock, Psychedelia and heavy Post Punk to create a blistering wall of sound of their own. Think Killing Joke going toe to toe with The Doors while Joy Division sticks the boot in and you have the NightPorter sound. It’s the dark end of the street, part melody, part menace but overall very infectious.
We’re a very big fan of Nightporter here at Erebus Horror and we hope to feature many more of their tracks in any further shows we might do (Once we’ve won our legal battle of course)
If you want any further information about the band, you can find it here: nightporter.net
It is with deepest regret that I have to inform you of the temporary postponement of Radio Horror.
It has been a cursed project from the start and after spending all day yesterday and all day today we have fallen at the last hurdle.
Copyright issues have sprung up everywhere and our show is not allowed to be shown on YouTube. We are disputing it of course and will face a bitter legal war if we have to. Unfortunately this means that Radio Horror cannot be shown until then.
Even after we’ve stripped the show of everything, leaving it in its most basic form (dialogue as well as music from bands who we have obtained permission to play tracks) they still say it breaches copyright laws!
Fear not – I’ve never lost ANYTHING in all my time and I’m not going to start now. And when these suits figure out that I ALWAYS win… Radio Horror WILL be published.
The incompetence of some people never ceases to amaze me. We disputed the copyright issue yesterday and we still have yet to receive a response! Another example of an inadequate waste of life disrespecting horror… Don’t they realise we promised our fans and followers a radio show on Halloween? Don’t they realise that it is now November and you still haven’t got your show?
Fear not my horror brethren. As Jigsaw famously said ‘THERE WILL BE BLOOD!’
You will get your horror show
Erebus is back
Attention horror fans.
I’m sorry to say that there will be a delay in Radio Horror being broadcast. We have recorded the show without a hitch, but as we are using basic equipment it is taking hours to publish and we haven’t even tried uploading it yet!
I’m afraid we are going to have to reschedule the publication of the show to a new time of 11pm (GMT) on the 1st of November. In other words 24 hours from now
We’re deeply sorry that we were unable to publish the show tonight. We’ll be sure never to use a certain shipping service again! But on the positive side, it’s like we get to re-live Halloween again tomorrow night!
Be sure to tune in as it is a special show – We feature tracks from Nightporter, Dick Blake, Never A Hero, Machination and Hells Belles. We also covered a variety of horror topics which I’m sure will entertain as well as inform the majority of you.
Thanks for the support and understanding
